Interactive Live Stream Games
This is a list of games, that have some form of twitch integration, so that streamers can play while viewers interact with the game directly.
Currently I am researching these kind of games as part of my master thesis, which I will finish and publish later this year.
Choice Chamber (2015)
a 2D jump'n'run that allows viewers to manipulate the environment and the character by voting, trigger events, and more...
Clone Drone in the Danger Zone (2016)
a 'third person sword fighting arena game' that allows viewers to spawn enemies (or allies) using a virtual currency system with a betting mechanism.
a 3D jump'n'run the-floor-is-lava truck game? Viewers can vote to change world properties like gravity, size of the trucks, etc.
Darwin Project (2018)
a battle royale game based on the idea of a twisted reality show, where viewers vote for player buffs.
a gladiator management game, in which viewers are represented in the game as gladiators, but they also can cheer in fights and vote for story choices.
Don’t Starve Together Mod: Twitch Plays Together (2015)
a mod for Don't Starve, where viewers can vote for events, like 'raining frogs'.
Fear Equation (2016)
a turn-based horror strategy game, where viewer names can be used for NPCs (it is just reading names from the chat and replacing names in-game, but still).
Killing Room (2016)
shooter, where viewers can vote for items/effects for the next level on an external voting page.
minimalist puzzle game. Viewers kind of bet on solutions for points, but it is more than that, since the betting also restricts the streamer.
One Troll Army (2016)
a tower defense game with a big troll instead of towers. Viewers can spawn and send attackers.
Party Hard (2015)
...well, uhm... a game about mass murdering everyone on a party... Viewers can mess with the game, trigger events and even control NPCs.
Poly Bridge (2016)
build bridges together with your viewers. Twitch integration works with an external website.
a tactical, collectible card game. Streamers can unlock areas for viewers, which help the streamer to complete all goals. Sadly development stopped, but it is still playable.
a fast paced third person game. Sadly, it is not available anymore. The link will take you to twitch clips from the game.
Streets of Rogue (2017)
a fast-paced top-down rogue-lite with RPG elements, in which viewers can vote for loot, traits, and events.
a multiplayer party card game. Streamers combine a cards to create a fighter each and then argue why their fighter would win. The viewers vote for the most compelling argument, choosing a winner.
Ultimate Chicken Horse (2016)
a multiplayer competitive 2D platform game. Viewers can vote for building blocks, that can be used by players.
a turn-based strategy game, where two streamers fight against each other, each supported by some selected viewers, which control a unit each.
